Just a day ago, we’ve talked about the android pie update for Mi A1 (android one) device. Now the manufacturer has expanded the android pie roll out to Poco F1 handset too. Recently Xiaomi has enrolled this device to MIUI 10 beta program and many of them joined in this program. The Poco F1 will receive this software update with the version MIUI (based on android pie).

The screenshot has also give a glimpse about the changelog, but it didn’t bring not much features. The android pie for Poco F1 adds Google Lens to camera, restore the android auto issues, fixes microphone not working bug after plug-in earphone, restores automatic screen turning off settings and so on. Along with that the update will also install the November month security patch.

However this update didn’t bring the most expected slow motion video with 960 fps support. This feature could be in beta stage, they may roll out this update in the upcoming days. Poco F1 users are now receiving this android pie software update via OTA and the download size will be in 1.7GB.

If you own this Poco F1 device, just pick up and check for the software update from Settings > About Phone > System update. It will look for the new software update and prompt to download if it’s available. If you’ve connected your device to WiFi, the update will be automatically download and prompt the user to install this download file. Poco F1 is still under MIUI 10 beta program which means they were testing new features on this device and will be rolled out in future.
