After the continuous launch of high-end smartphones, HTC has turned their focus on entry-level smartphone users. The report says the upcoming budget mobile will launch under Desire series and will be called as Desire 12. Recently the leakster elveaks has tweeted this handset specs on his official twitter page. Today we came up with the retail box of this device and confirm the major specs of Desire 12.
According to that image, HTC Desire 12 will sport 5.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1440) display which means the upcoming entry level smartphone will feature 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The retail box didn’t showed the android version, but we can expect it will release with android 8.0 oreo. Another important thing is HTC may launch the Desire 12 handset under Android Go program. This handset will use entry-level Mediatek chipset and quad core processor.
Memory options are 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage and also support expandable microSD card slot (up to 2TB). We can’t say it sure whether the handset may feature hybrid slot or a dedicated slot microSD. It houses 12MP main camera with PDAF sensor at back and 5MP selfie camera at front. It preloaded with standard connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, GPS etc. Coming to power, the handset comes with 2730 mAh battery and can standby for a day usage.
Apart from these features, the leak didn’t unveil the exact release date and price of Desire 12 handset. HTC may announce this budget device at MWC 2018 event on this February. Let’s stay calm and wait for the official launch event.
